Thinking Admission to Vidyasagar Teachers Training Institute is strictly on merit as formulated by the state government and as directed by the affiliated university. In case of the B.Ed programme, selection for admission is granted according to the marks scored in the qualifying exam as well as the entrance examination if any. These criteria may also be other as per the policies of the respective state government or UT administration in the selection process.

In the same fashion, the admission plan for the D.El.Ed programme also admits the candidates based on their merit score acquired in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test. The admission policy in the institute is clear and has reasonable standards in order to give deserved opportunity to practice teaching ambitions.
